La iniciativa del legislador socialista Roy Cortina prevé la creación de una mesa de trabajo con todos los actores involucrados, la elaboración de estadísticas oficiales sobre el tema, el funcionamiento de una unidad de gestión de conflictos en cada establecimiento y la conformación de una división especial de seguridad hospitalaria de la Policía Metropolitana.

Cortina fundamentó en el proyecto que “la situación de los hospitales porteños se complicó producto de la decisión de la gestión kirchnerista de retirar a los agentes de la Policía Federal, y las medidas que se tomaron después se mostraron insuficientes para garantizar condiciones de seguridad que son básicas”.
